The Case of the Missing BearCat

On Sunday afternoon, around 5pm, I accidentally left the back door open and Bearinger snuck out. He's been missing ever since. We've been searching all around the neighborhood...I put out 75 flyers in peoples mail boxes with his picture and my phone number. I am sad. I want my BabyBear back. Please pray he finds his way home.

He's the best "dog-cat" in the whole wide world and I want him to come home.

5 months old today

Most of these pictures were taken today as we celebrated Creighton turning 5 months old!! But I did slip in a few pictures from the the week... they are just all so cute and show all the many sides of Creighton I just couldn"t choose which ones to post, so I'm posting a ton!
What a sweet face
His unofficial 5 month birthday picture (I posted this one because its so cute, even though it was taken about a week before he turned 5 months)
This one is his official 5 month picture
Wearing the little outfit Rachel bought for him
Rachel even came over on Saturday, her day off, to see Creighton for his 5 month birthday and to see him in the sweet outfit she bought for him. She's wonderful!
Real excited about celebrating 5 months....
and happy to play on his fun new toy, his jumperoo!
Yay! We love to play!
and play
and play
and cuddle
and play some more!
of course, all we do is play
and spit and blow bubbles
and squeal
and suck fingers (or pacifiers) and act sassy
and act sweet after bath time

and get our tummies full before bed! Thank you, Grandma, for coming to see me and feeding me and tucking me in! Being 5 months old is great!

We had the best weekend

Dave was in the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Greenville...he was "Bluto" on the "Animal House" float. Dave leaving Saturday morning for the parade. Creighton likes the pirate sword.
And even though Daddy wasn't with us Saturday, Creighton and I really had the perfect weekend (we did miss you on Saturday, Dave). The only time I wasn't by Creighton's side was when he was sleeping (and even some of his naps were on my lap!) so I felt on top of the world all weekend! The play times were so fun, my cheeks hurt from smiling : )
We had a few visitors, too (Poppy, Cindy and Grandma) and that was added fun.Creighton has become really "chatty"...our "conversations" last for quite a while and he is really funny to listen to. Creighton LOVES staring into my face, grabbing my face, putting his hands and feet into my mouth and laughing a lot. He likes being tickled now, too. It's just so cute.
We still have lots of fun at bath time....
Dave and I covered Creighton with all the tub toys...we have about 20 more but we decided 8 is enoughBut obviously he likes turtles the best!

New Toy

Creighton has a new toy (thanks, Bratchers!)
See how much he loves his Exersaucer?

He studies all the little parts on it and then squeals in delight. I have a side ache from laughing!

Prayers Answered

Great News! Baby Ericksen went home from the hospital Sunday night!!! Isn't he the cutest thing? Also, my friend Jamie who has Cystic Fibrosis was able to talk and have a conversation with a few of her friends in person and over the phone the other day. She still needs to have continued prayer, but I'm sure her improvements lifted her spirits a bit.
Mr Hill is getting stronger in spite of his cancer treatments. But keep him in your prayers still for continued healing.
Oliver is growing steadily, sleeping and eating well, and really starting to get into a good pattern. He weighs more than his birth weight and Kasey has the whole breastfeeding thing down now, with good production on top of that! New motherhood and breastfeeding can be such a difficult journey, and I'm thankful Oliver and Kasey have their rhythm down now.
Anne, the girl with the brain aneurysm, has made some improvements as well...she is off life support, learning how to breathe on her own again, and is responding by shaking her head to answer questions. She has a long journey to recovery, but every small improvement is a huge step. I believe miracles can happen; pray for miracles for her complete healing.
Lastly, I attached this picture of Victor and Carrie Muznys kids, Reese and Grant, just because I thought it was so cute and reminds us there is so much good and pure in this world to be grateful for...we can surely see God's love for us in His creation of children!
adorable Grant and Reese Muzny

Stats: Tall and Skinny

Creighton saw his pediatrician for his 4 month check up today. He is 25th percentile for weight, at 13 pounds 11 ounces, and 75th percentile for length at almost 26 inches. Just as we predicted: tall, dark (sorta balding) and handsome!
He did great at the visit, even with the shots. He was calm and attentive the whole time, then with the 1st shot he didn't seem to mind at all, he cried for only 6 seconds after the second shot and then smiled the rest of the time. He was rewarded by getting to nap cuddled up next to his daddy!
Then Creighton and Dave took an afternoon walk...this was Daves view from the carrier he wore. Creighton is very serious about pacifiers, as you can tell in this picture!
What a fun, smiley, happy, and perfect baby we have! I can't believe he's only been in our lives for 4 months. It seems like we've loved him forever.

Prayer Requests

It seems there is a lot going on right now in the lives of my friends and family members. I want to post a list of prayer requests because I believe what the Bible says about prayer: "I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in My name, there I am with them" Matthew 18:19-20
~
1.) Ericksen Appel to learn to feed on his own so he can go home from the hospital with his Mom and Dad
2.) Babies Natalie and Emily who were born 10 weeks premature that they learn to breathe and eat on their own and that they not have ongoing medical concerns
3.) Healing for my friends dad, Mr Hill, who learned he has stage 4 cancer and is undergoing treatments.
4.) Healing for my friends 30 year old cousin, Anne Connally, who had a brain aneurysm, underwent brain surgery, and is still in the medically induced coma. Praise the Lord, also, that she survived in the first place!
5.) My friend Jamie has Cystic Fibrosis. She is currently in the ICU and could really use some prayers for her physical and emotional well being.
6.) Oliver Fenn to eat well and grow strong
7.) Healthy pregnancies for all my friends who are new mommies and my pregnant friends/family and for those who are seeking to be pregnant. The pregnant ones by name: Lindsey, Cindy, Carrie P, Jessica T, Jennifer, etc.
8.) Corey and Lindsey, who lost their dad to cancer last month
9.) My brother-in-law Matt to find a new job after being laid off, with a little one on the way. And also my girlfriend whose husband recently lost his job. She is an at home mom who just had her second child.
10.) We ask for God's guidance with our son as we "train up a child in the way he should go: and when he grows old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
~
We also want to give praise to God for answered prayers.
Thank you for giving us this precious little boy!
"I thank my God upon every remembrance of you" Philippians 1:3
Dave and I can't seem to get enough of Creighton...his smile, his smell, his noises, his snugglesThank you, Lord, for all the gifts you've given us
Especially, for the gift of Your Son Jesus whom you sent to this Earth to die so that we may be saved from our sins and spend eternal life in heaven with You. John 3:16.
Because of your gift of salvation, we look forward to the pure joy we will experience in heaven with You, God.The joy we feel right now with our child Creighton is immeasurable, which we know pales in comparison to the joy we will experience in Your presence, Lord Jesus! Thank you for all your gifts!

Fun Weekend

We went to Jessica Gibson Tigert's baby shower. She is expecting a girl, Cater Ann, in May!
The shower was at Carrie Clyde Sawyers house and Creighton got to meet 5 month old Luke. They didn't hit it off well at first cause Luke got excited and grabbed at Creightons face, which made Creighton cry, but I'm sure they'll love playing together next time!
And Creighton got to spend more time with his cousin Megan. She just LOVES being a helpful cousin!
Megan is a little mommy herself, helping to change baby Creightons diaper
Creighton loves talking with and listening to his Aunt Ashlie
and reading books with Mommy and Megan
and playing on his play mat with Megan

Thank you, Aunt Ashlie and Megan, for coming over to play with me. And tell my cousins Brett, Ethan and Ashton I love them and miss them and look forward to playing with them next time!
