Playing with The Jefferies

Today was introduce Harper to Kris Sloan Jefferies and her boys dayI'm hoping Harper was sweet enough to convince Kris to have another baby!

Here is Kris's four year old, Sloan, teaching my Creighty how to do some home renovations.
"You have to take an accurate measurement, like this"

He's so serious about it... "I said accurate measurement man!" And Creighton listens intently and follows the instructions like a good apprentice.

But on to other big boy things, like driving trucks

or cars.
"Switch!"

But the best part of all is cruising with your buddy!

"Get in, man!"

Her Craighton hops in to the truck to show my Creighton how to roll

"See ya later, moms. We're going cruising for some babes. See ya"

Oh boy....the trouble ahead with these two : )

Playing with The Rice's

Today we went to play with Jessica Bray Rice and her kids!

Meet Holden.
He is two months older than Harper and they are going to be great friends. When Harper was 2 weeks old she met Holden out for sushi and they really hit it off.

and meet Brayden. It was hard to get a good picture of him...he was very busy!

and meet sweet Rachel. She was an excellent babysitter to Harper. Harper even smiled at her! Creighton LOVED playing with all the Rice kids toys.

Brayden was swinging on his stomach so of course, as Creighton was copying everything Brayden did, Creighton had to swing that way too.

this post is silly, and so is my boy!

Creighton insisted on wearing his bibs...all 13 of them...at once!

and why would I say no to this darling little face?

So he wore them...for an hour!!!

Fire Station #10

Needing a fun activity to do one morning, we decided to stop by and visit our local fire station since Creighton is super interested in all kinds of vehicles...the bigger the better!

These guys wear big boots!

and it can be a little frightening to get on to such a big truck, but we had to try, especially since Creighton had on his Fire Chief T-Shirt!

Sheaffer meets Harper, Carter plays with Creighton

My dear friend Sheaffer came over today to meet Harper and for our boys to play together. Poor Sheaffer...I made her wear a robe on backwards so that Harper wouldn't cover her with spit up, as she's been known to do to many a visitor.

Creighton and Carter got straight to work on the balls and the cars and trucks. Such boys!

MY Birthday and some family

Today was my birthday.

I went to lunch and celebrated with a few of the ladies in my family!

Aunt Gretchen, Mom, Me & Harps, Melissa, and Suzanne

We also went swimming over at Aunt Ashlies to celebrate with her crew and Grandma! Megan LOVES holding baby Harper

Creighton enjoyed blowing out the candles...there were quite a few

Grandma was in heaven cuddling Harper

And BOY was it fun to play in the pool! Especially after being cooped up on bed rest for so long, I was way over due for some serious play time! Creighton has no fear when it comes to swimming. He jumped right in and kicked and pulled, floated on his back, reached for rings under the water. Swim lessons are going to be great for him!

This was a fantastic birthday and I know this year to follow is going to be filled with all kinds of excitement and joy!

Harper is One Month Old!

Our little peanut is ONE MONTH OLD already! How is this possible?

This is her "official fancy rocker picture".

(Creighton has a super comfortable rocker in his room that I think is pretty ugly. But we took his picture in it every month for his first year of life. We call it his official ugly rocker picture. Harper has a pretty rocker in her room, so her monthly picture will be the pretty rocker picture!)

This is a fair representation of Harper at 1 month. She is often sleeping...or she is screaming her lungs off. There isn't much in-between. Not much "quiet-alert" time, not much play time or tummy time...she is either all or nothing this precious one of ours. But we still have so much to celebrate. She is growing perfectly. Her stats are now:

8 pounds, 3 ounces - 10th percentile
20.75 inches long - 25th percentile

We are so happy to celebrate her being with us for 1 month now. Stay tuned as she grows and changes each month~
