Morning Fun with Mom & Dad

We had some good family fun this morning!

Creighton loves talking to his daddy

3 months old today!

Creighton Todd turned 3 months old today. What a big boy!

Here are some of the things he enjoys doing

laying on his playmat for tummy time and working on rolling over
(he did it once and is working hard to do it again)

sitting in his Super Seat and reaching for things like his dog, Taggie
(thanks, Sheaffer, for telling us about this cool activity seat)

playing in his bouncy seat and reaching for his monkey friend
and eating!
He eats 8 ounces at each feeding! But despite his efforts to chunk up, he is still a long and skinny little guy. It seems the only chubby thing about him are his cheeks.
Creighton also likes "talking" and smiling, sucking on his pacifier, snuggling, and sleeping. He's a happy baby and truly pleasant to be around. We are so blessed!!!

Our little boy has quite a wide range of emotions and expressions these days.

But to give him credit, he's a smiley happy baby 95% of the time! Just don't mess with him 10 mintues before a meal or you get a serious case of the "Cranky Creighton" as pictured above!

Daddy and Creighton spent the afternoon together

First, daddy got me all dressed up for the afternoon.

It was such a nice day I got to wear shorts and a t-shirt. See how long and skinny I am?

Then we went for a long walk outside in the pretty weather

And daddy mohawked my hair! I don't think I like it like this. What do you think?

My little guy is sick

Creighton has a fever today

When he suddenly started acting fussy out of the blue, I decided to take his temp. It isn't terribly high, just 100 degrees, but he's just so sleepy and not eating real well, which are both pretty uncharacteristic of the little guy. We gave him Tylenol and lots of TLC. If he isn't better in the morning, I'll call the doctor. In spite of feeling a little under the weather CT still played well and enjoyed his bath. He's just such a good boy!

Hey! Yesterday we tried out the Bumbo seat for the first time

and look at our little man just chillin'! He loves sitting on his own now.

I think this is my new favorite picture of him!

And check out how red his hair is here! in some lights it looks really red and vibrant, and it others it looks like a rich brown. I'll take either hair color -- I think he's just perfect!

Ready for the outdoors

Creighton and I enjoy afternoon walks when weather permits.

Creighton really enjoys reading books now. Here we are reading one of my favorite books Brown Bear, Brown Bear (thanks, Pisklaks!). As you can see he studied each page very carefully. We also read about colors and animals (thanks, Appels!) and he even reached out to touch some pictures on the pages!! My boy is so smart : )

Creighton has made more new friends

Aren't the Liptak Twins just so beautiful!?! I was reallly impressed with Kris's daddy skills. Well done, Jamie and Kris!

The Nanny started today

This is Creightons Nanny, Miss Rachel.

She started this week so I could show her around and so she could get to know Creighton before I go back to work on January 12th.

And they are becoming fast friends

As you can see here, Creighton likes her already!

Another cold, snuggly day

and Creighton spent the day lounging around,

He Sleeps!

So over the holidays Dave and I have been working on sleep training Creighton and its really working.

I put Creighton down last night at his bedtime, 7:30 pm, and he didn't wake up until 6:30 am!!! He stirred around 2:30am and again around 4:30am but each time he put himself back to sleep and I didnt even have to go in to his room to help him go back to sleep (NO paci even!!). THANK YOU Courtney & Gilbran for recommending the book we are following, "The Sleep Solution: 12 hour sleep by 12 weeks". The dark circles may soon disappear from my eyes and I owe that to you!
