Halloween Fun

Halloween is special for us as it centers around Creightons birthday. But we still have the regular Halloween events to enjoy as well.
This year, Creighton got to go to a costume party play date.

Boy he had so much fun with the other children and all the different toys!
Harper dressed up for the play date too. And got to cuddle up next to her bff Holden
(pictures coming soon)

We also did our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

it was a warm October day and perfect for exploring and searching for The Great Pumpkin!

The goats were especially fun!

I have no idea what these goats were saying to Creighton, but he sure got a kick out of them!

Taking a break to ride the train with daddy revealed just how worn out Creighton was from all the fun!
No -- wait -- a second wind! Which gives Creighton one more chance to explore the maze before time to head home.
He crashed within 5 minutes! Out cold in the car seat on the way home. He was spent from all that great fun!
But on October 31st of 2010, we celebrated Halloween in a different way....

We still dressed Creighton up in his Halloween costume
but he just had fun at home. No trick or treating this year...
Cause Mommy and Daddy had something special to do instead:

The World Series of Baseball!!
That's right! GOOOOO RANGERS!

Here was our WS Crew!
Mommy and Daddy had fun the game.
Next year we'll take you Trick-Or-Treating Creighton and Harper!!!

I'm TWO!

Today is my birthday!
I'm TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am just having so much fun being 2
It really is the best and I am so smart and so cute
but, sadly, today I am also so sick. I got a fever.
but nothing keeps me from smiling!
I'm really just an all around happy kid
Mama let me curl up on the couch and watch some tv today since I'm sick which, quite frankly, isn't all that bad of a way to spend a birthday. Cause I love tv and mama doesn't let me watch it much.
What tv shows do I like? Well....Wonder Pets, Yo Gabba Gabba, and Dora are the very best and pretty much all I've ever seen. What else do I like, now that I'm two?
Okay....
I love:
Cheese. Kitty Cats. Ribbie. Tickles. Flips. Books. When Mama sings songs. When Daddy gets home. All my grandparents: Pa, Mimi, Grandma, Poppy, Dee. Restaurants. Outdoors. My jammies. My big boy bed and pillow. Hummus. Coloring. Bubbles. The play kitchen in my Mothers Day Out classroom. Toys that make noise. Buttons. Mama's hair. Fruit. Water sippy. Reading books. Stickers. Stamps. "Tattoons". The Bat Man theme song. Tess. Crashing my toy cars into each other. Chips & Salsa. "More cheese please". Aggies. Jogging with Daddy. Indian pow-wows. My wooden shoes. My coat. "Weo-weo's". Bunnies. Prayers.
What I don't love:
Dinosaurs. Dogs. Fevers. Vegetables. When mama tells me it's time to go inside. Clean up-clean up. Books away. Time out.
~
Mama says I'm a great two year old. She said those "terrible twos" started when I turned 18 months old but that within the range of the "terrible two-ness" I'm not too bad. I really want to obey and am learning how to do it better every day. I still love hugs from mamma and daddy, but I don't want them to hold me or carry me too much any more, cause I know I'm a big boy. I also know I'm cute!
It's pretty fun being two. And just being me!

Creightons 2nd Birthday Party

Ahoy, Mates!
Captain Creighton is about to turn 2
And we are ready to celebrate!!!
Unfortunately, the weather put a literal damper on our parade. But we improvised!

We invited the ghosts and ghouls to welcome our guests
and set a table for the little goblins to have their treats
The balloon guy was quite a hit as he twisted and created cool creatures for the kids
and it appeared everyone enjoyed the feast and festivities!

Here are a lot of our fun guests in their spooky and kookey Halloween costumes:

Mommy, Daddy and the Mermaid love our 2 year old Captain so much!
We and had so much fun celebrating and being surrounded by so many family and friends.

And Thanks to my friend Jen who made the cupcake toppers and wrappers with her creative talent and designs. Check out her info at http://www.bellagreydesigns.com/

3 months old!

Harper girl is 3 months old!

The "tiny pterodactyl" has calmed down a bit! She screams much less now and has replaced that noise with a much sweeter babble and happy squeal. She is still a super snuggler and I just can't get enough of her. Her smile is awesome and totally melts my heart. I don't get the camera out nearly enough to capture her smiles so I'll have to get to work on that (the flash usually stuns her, turning her into a deer in headlights!).
We've started playing dress up. She likes her Aggie clothes a lot! Sometimes Creighton picks out her clothes and pajamas for her, it's so sweet. Harper LOVES to watch her brother. She locks her eyes on him and gets very serious, trying to figure out what he's up to. There just aren't enough words available to write out what a delight she is and how my days are so complete getting to feed her each morning and put her to bed each night. I can't believe 3 months has already passed. I have feel so overwhelmingly blessed each second I've been with these babies....well, maybe there were a few nights in there when Harper was about 6 or 7 weeks old that I felt a little more stressed than blessed...but I've truly felt complete and fulfilled throughout all of it!
