Let's Go Mavs!

In the spirit of the playoffs, and to help us rally for the big game tonightLET'S GO MAVS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Half Birthday Today

That's right, Creighton is 6 months old today. Already half of his first year of life has gone by! He's been such a treasure. This little boy laughs and smiles all the time...well, most of the time...you don't want to steal his bottle or keep him up from a nap! We can't say "thank you" enough to God for sending Creighton down to us 6 months ago and we look forward to all the days to come!!!!

It happened overnight!!!

Seriously! On Saturday we were practicing sitting up like we often do and Creighton was doing pretty well, but still tipping over a lot and face planting. Sunday, he was doing a little better, starting to upright himself regularly if he fell face forward, but still hitting the ground if he tipped to the side. Well, this morning, before I left for work, we were reading books and playing with stacking cups and Creighton was sitting all by himself THE WHOLE TIME! Now, if he starts to tip, he catches himself and easily stays in place. He can upright himself if he falls forward, but I am still catching him if he falls backwards, cause he doesn't have that one down yet. What happened? How did my baby boy grow up so fast overnight?

Go Mavs

We sat outside the AAC on Saturday to watch the Mavs beat the Spurs (woo hoo!)
Creighton totally cracked us up - every time the Mavs scored and the fans cheered really loud, Creighton would stick his lower lip out and pout, sometimes even cry. You wouldda thought he was a Spurs fan! But it was a beautiful day and, best of all, the Mavs won! Creighton wore his little Mavs outfit and he will wear it again on Tuesday as we cheer GOOOOO MAVS!

O & P are here

According to the experts (my Davey Dave) the two central lower teeth in pediatric dentistry are called "O" and "P"It may be hard to see in this picture, but this is Creightons little mouth and the two tiny lower teeth poking through! And he's being such a good sport about it - not extra fussy or having any real symptoms besides extra drool (I didn't know any living thing could be even more slobbery than he already was!)

I survived it!

Thursday night was my first night away from Creighton. Dave and I went on a little weekend get-away to New Orleans for two nights to celebrate Dave's birthday (on the 21st). Leaving was hard, but I did well. I had a lump in my throat and a knot in my stomach and eyes filled with tears but I held them all in. This helped me survive the long weekend away from little buddy!
Dave and I had a lovely time in New Orleans, eating all kinds of good food and doing some of the best people watching we've ever done, but last night we were so ready to come home.
(*see the cute little black backpack hanging off the table? that's my breastpump!)
Rachel, Grandpa & Mimi, and Grandma took care of CT all weekend and said he did perfectly. We knew he'd be fine; it was us that struggled! I'm about to go in and see my little guy for the first time since Thursday afternoon and I can't wait to nuzzle him and kiss on the best little guy in the world!

Reflux

A few of you have asked me if Creighton still has problems with reflux. Well..........
