Pumpkin Patch

Welcome to the Owens Family Farm Big Orange Pumpkin Patch in Richardson, Texas.
The Seghers Family (a.k.a. Team Seghs) visited the farm today and boy! we had a great time.
There is so much going on at this farm and pumpkin patch.
We explored all kinds of things and Creighton's little head was moving non-stop...it was like he was watching a tennis match the way his head was swining back and forth, looking all around at all the new things there were to see.
We rode the barrell train
Honk Honk, goes the horn!
We went to see the horses and little Creighton squealed and laughed and showed no fear in getting close. He reached out and touched the horse and would have stuck his hand in the horses mouth if I'd let him!
Not afraid of goats either! He became fast friends with this lady goat.
(And some of you know my fascination with baby goats....I LOVE GOATS and these were super sweet...not sure who liked this part better, me or Creighton, or Dave watching both of us!!!)But I think walking around banging on pumpkins was the highlight for Creighton. He's just basking in the sun and all the glory of pumpking patting..."pat, pat, pat"....
Thank you, Owens Family Farm Pumpkin Patch place!
See ya again next year~

Swiiiiiing!

Yesterday Dave hung Creightons new swing in our backyard.
It was such a beautiful day. Perfect day for swinging, don't you think? Creighton sure thought so.
And we had Aunt Suzanne over to celebrate her birthday. Creighton showed her how high he could swing, and how huge he could smile!
Happy Birthday Aunt Suzanne~

I am not ashamed....

....to say that I am a total U2 groupie. And I got to go to the concert and it was......
wow, there are no words! It was beyond incredible. I could feel the music in my ribs and it was just an unspeakably cool experience!
Here is Dave inside the Cowboy's Stadium before the concert started
Oh My Gosh the stage!
Our seats were good - who knew they'd set up the stage toward the opposite end of the stadium (that darned huge video screen!). But I didn't care --I was there!
Here I am fter the concert. So sad it was over.
Thank you, Dave, for giving me such a cool birthday present and taking me on such an incredible date night!

A "Whoop it Up" Post

When Dave and I went to College Station a couple of weeks ago, we bought Creighton his first Aggie Jersey. He was VERY proud to put it on!
This weekend, Creighton and I stayed home and Dave headed back down to watch the Aggies.

So Creighton and I got all outfitted to watch the game at Poppy & Dee's on TV.
I am trying to teach Creighton to hold his thumb up to say "Gig 'Em" but we haven't mastered that yet!

Here are some guys who are trying to be examples for Creighton and show him how "Gig 'Em" is done. Yes, that's Coach Slocum, who Dave ran into at the game yesterday in The Zone Club. Dave is really making progress on his collection of pictures with Aggie coaches...remember this one from a few years back?
and this one, too

I'm starting to see that we are FANtastic little Aggies, huh?
If only our team could win...

Exciting weekend

Jeff and Carissa Brownlee got married this weekend and we had a fantastic time celebrating their marriage.
This is the only picture of us. Not perfect, but we are happy to have something to mark this day. Because not only did Jeff and Carissa get married, but it was also our FIRST night at home with out Creighton there. Yes, we've had nights away from Creighton, but we've always been the ones gone. So Friday night Creighton got to spend the night at Mimi & Grandpa Seghers house! And Saturday morning Dave and I got to sleep in!!! Even though we missed him terribly, it was nice to lay in bed past 7am and totally do nothing in the morning!
Then, today, we went to Boomerangs in Plano for Alexa Barkers birthday party. Creighton got to play on the cool toys and rides. Think he liked it? You betcha : )
