Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday Jesus

Well, the bad news is that we don't have ANY pictures from Christmas : (
Santa delivered a Mac computer to Dave and, in the process of setting it up and sync-ing it with his iPhone, it seems that all the pictures from the past 2 weeks on Daves iPhone have disappeared. So it may be a while before I get pics from aunts and grandparents to show a little of our Christmas. But, the good news is, I'll describe some of our Christmas for you:

Christmas Eve- we went to Grandpa and Mimi's house (Dave's parents) pretty early in the day to relax and smell the turkey baking. Grandpa, Dave, Creighton and I went to Christmas Eve Church while Mimi stayed back at the house to cook the food. The service was precious - it's the first time we've gone to the 4:30 service and this one is all about the kids. The pastor invites the kids down to the front to be a part of a live Nativity Scene and oh! how cute that is. There were kids dressed as sheep, shepherds, wise men, and angles. Creighton wore an angel halo that the church made for kids who didn't have costumes and he sat (crawled around) with the other kids down at the front of the church. He was so funny!
We then went to The Hasson's house like we do every year. Only this year our visit was so brief because we were packing so much in to such a short amount of time. But it was great to see them. Then, back and Mimi & Grandpas house Creighton opened his presents, ate dinner, and went to bed. Then the rest of us (Suzanne & Ben, Me & Dave, Grandpa & Mimi) had an awesome Christmas dinner and presents and desert. Delicious! And of course, a beautiful "white Christmas" with the snow that covered everything (again, no pictures, what a bummer). Around 10pm, Dave and I got Creighton from his sound sleep, loaded him in to the freezing car and drove home on the ice! We had to get things ready for Santa to come the next morning!
Christmas Morning - Santa came! He delivered a "Rocket Ship" play tent/tunnell to Creighton and lots of other cool toys. I got a fancy camera (YAY!! Now I can take EXCELLENT pictures for the blog!) and Dave got his Mac. Santa was super good to us this year!
Christmas Mid-Morning- We headed off to Grandma's house to celebrate with her, Ashlie & Chad, Brett and Megan. More presents, more food, more fun. Creighton got a cool "Wonder Pets" leggo thing and Grandma is sending Dave and I shopping! Grandma had the tree decorated so pretty and Crighton had a reindeer stocking that lights up and sings!
Christmas afternoon - Last stop, Poppy & Dee's house with Ashlie & Chad, Brett and Megan, Corey & Sarah, Ethan and Ashton, Lindsey & Matt, and baby Cade. We did a scripture reading of Luke 2 and let the kids act out the manger scene just like last year. Cade was baby Jesus this year and Creighton was a shepherd. So so cute! Hate that the videos and pictures of that were lost. But we have great memories from it. Oh, yes, more good food and wild fun with all those kids and all the countless noise making presents. Around 9pm Dave and I plucked Creighton from the crib at Poppy & Dee's and drove him home to his own bed. What a long, exciting, fun-filled day! It's not all about the presents (although Creighton really got into pulling the tissue out of the sacks and ripping the paper off!) but it's totally about celebrating the birth of Jesus, our Savior, and sharing that joy with our families. We are SO VERY blessed!
Merry Christmas Everyone
And Happy Birthday Jesus
