36 weeks pregnant

This is the last belly picture. I didn't get around to taking a final "official" one. This was from our 4th of July celebration at Grandpa & Mimi's house.

"The other day, I saw a bear, O way out there..."

Poppy & Dee are at their house in Colorado for July 4th.
Yesterday, a young bear came in to the neighborhood and made herself at home in a neighbors back yard...even climbed up on to the neighbors porch

Probably a good idea for them to get rid of the hummingbird feeders this summer, unless they decide they want a bear to cuddle up and watch fire works with!!!
But still, how cool!?!?

Bare feet in the grass

Doesn't that just feel so good when your toes curl up in soft green grass?

And your daddy chases you around?
And there's a breeze as the rain clouds roll in?
Sounds perfect to me!

Darling Boys!

Ericksen came to play again. And the boys really seemed to have fun with one another. This time it was more interactive playing instead of side-by-side playing that they did last time.

And Creighton shared his chair with Ericksen
I hope these two boys get to play together for years to come
Cause it sure looks like they know how to have fun!

This is me at 35 weeks
Harper has "dropped" if you can't tell!
and the doctors estimate is that she weighs 5lbs 8oz
I am 3 cm dilated.

My Little Artist

We needed an indoor activity to do this morning, since it's just so darned hot playing outside. And since Rachel herself is an artist, I thought it would be fun to tap into Creightons inner artist and see what kind of style he's got! So we introduced Finger Paint!!!

Note to other moms who haven't yet played with finger paint:

Tell the child IN ADVANCE that they do not get to put the paint in their mouth. Creighton decided he need to sample the flavor of finger paint and, upon doing so, immediately puked on his artwork. But it didn't phase him a bit. He kept on with his new found talent!

By the way, the talent is NOT painting. It's creating mess : )

Nekkid Play

About that pool I mentioned in a previous post...I kinda meant the real kind, you know, that gets built into the ground. But this blow up one is what we've come up with for now. So since it's so super hot, after work one day Dave decided he and Creighton should enjoy some out door fun...nekkid! (well, Creighton was naked, not Dave!)

I stayed inside at first, taking pictures through the living room window that looks out on the back yard. But then I decided to lay on the outdoor lounge chair and be the official photographer. Glad I did. These boys sure had fun! But boys will be boys, and they got distraced from the baby pool and had some other things to attend to. So off they went...
to do a little nekkid gardening

Flowers are so high maintenance (that's why mommy leaves all the "green thumb" duties to daddy! that, and mommy's official brown thumb...i kill everything green and growing!)

But since we have them, it is nice to stop and smell the flowers every now and then

Don't forget to take time out of your day today to stop and smell the flowers!
You might want to put some clothes on first though : )
