15 Month Stats

Here are my stats!

weight:
21 pounds 10 ounces
10th percentile for weight

height:
32 inches
75th percentile for height

development:
meeting all his little benchmarks but needing a little more improvement in language. his receptive language is really good and she was actually impressed with all the little tricks he showed her - our favorite is when we say "do a cheer!" and he raises both his arms up and smiles and we say "horray!" - and he is improving on his expressive language which seems a little harder for him since he only really says "cat" "dada" and "hot" and "hi". Creighton can say "mama" but he rarely does. And he may have said "all done" but we aren't for sure. Whats really funny though is that he whispers the words he can say! Its so strange, I've never heard any other kid do that!

and the consensus is still the same as last doctors check up:

100 percent precious!

15 months old!

Allllllllllllll-right!
I'm 15 months old today!

This is the official 15 month (ugly rocker) picture. This time there were lots of good ones to choose from.
What goes on with this 15 month old boy?
He has learned to kick a ball - today!
He tries to "sing".
He dances often...even when there isn't music playing.
He can stab food with his own fork now and feed himself really well!
He can say a few things, like mama and dadda, but says "cat" constantly...and when he sees ANY 4 legged creature, not just cats!
He is learning to clean up his toys and loves to go get things we ask for and bring them to us (that is going to prove very helpful in 6 months!)
He's still hooked on his paci but each morning, when we tell him it's time to take his paci out and put it in the crib, he obeys and even smiles!!!!
Still loves to play peek-a-boo, read books, and play in the bath tub
Gives kisses - oh what a treasure!
Doesn't like it when mama and dadda drop him off in the church nursery. Not. One. Bit.
Is totally curious and almost obsessed with other kids of any ages.
I'm sure I'm leaving out tons of precious and, what we think are remarkable things, but hopefully the pictures and blog posts this month tell the stories!

My Sleeping Beauty

I'm just addicted to pictures of Creighton sleeping.
Okay, rephrase that. I'm just addicted to pictures of Creighton, period. BUT the sleeping ones are extra cute!

Look who just woke up. Actually, I think both of us had just woken up!

My two baby boys, cuddling together. Makes this mama super happy!

Kindermusik

Creighton has been going to a Kindermusik class for about a month now. His buddy Alex (his mom is my friend, Erin) told us about the class and Creighton has really been loving it!
I crack up because Creighton seems to think the class is just for him, and all these other people showed up to his little party to make his event more special. He stands right in the middle of the circle, dances for everyones enjoyment and loves to walk right up to watch the teacher read the book...as you will see in these pictures below:

But he is learning how to clean up and put away the toys he plays with and he LOVES to dance to the songs! Our teacher is really sweet and laid back. This has been a fun and special thing for Creighton and I to do together (plus, it's helping him get through the long stretch of morning as he is working on dropping his morning nap).
After class one day we went to Chich-Fil-A for lunch with Erin and Alex. The boys did great and had fun extending their play time together.
And Erin and I had a great time watching them and visiting.

Thank you, Alex, for inviting Creighton to join your Kindermusik class. We are sad you have to move up into the big boys class, but we will see you again soon for sure!

Farewell, First Trimester!

May I NEVER have to experience you again! I strongly dislike you, First Trimester. You make me more tired than words can describe and, this time, nauseated and pukey. And you put me into that awkward "is she pregnant, or has she been drinking lots of beer" stage. But I'm done with you. Forever.
~
Hello, Second Trimester : )
Nice to see you again
Yay!

Baby # 2 - 12 weeks pregnant

"Pepper" has reached the size of a shrimp!
But that could mean lots of things...I mean, is he/she the size of a popcorn shrimp? A jumbo shrimp? A live shrimp? So I'm confused. But delighted, because the heartbeat looked good and the baby is growing steadily. So the baby is doing great!
I, on the other hand, am still not so great, but that just comes with the territory of finishing the 1st trimester. I'm still dry heaving lots, but the actual puking isn't happening very frequently anymore. Oh yes, Creighton loves to copy his mama and now he walks around, fake dry heaving and pretending to barf! Oh, the wonderful things these kids pick up on!the 12 week belly.
it's no longer a secret (obviously!)
