Catching up

I'm so behind. It's awful. This video is from a few weeks back, when the Aggies were still in the NCAA tournament. Dave and I took Creighton to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the game. We all wore our Aggie gear. Creighton was super excited! Here is what "super excited" looks like on Creighton:

Sunday School

It was a freezy beezy morning with snow on the ground today as we headed to church!

And our snuggly little bear seemed to love it! He's like his mama - he likes a touch of wintry weather.

But this post is really about Sunday School.
Creighton hates HATES being dropped off at Sunday School. And it's really been tough on all of us. One Sunday he cried for the entire hour. AN HOUR! And they never paged us to come get him. Needless to say, he was exhausted that afternoon. The following week we asked them to page us if he cried for 15 minutes. We got paged. We went home. So we have that kid who, when we walk toward the nursery, the people say "Oh look, Creighton's here" with a little misery in their voice. BUT, ever since the time change, it's been a miracle (the nursery lady even said that today)! Our prayers have been answered and Creighton is doing MUCH better at being dropped off at Sunday School. He still fusses and even cries, but it lasts only about 5 minutes or so and now for TWO WEEKS in a row we haven't been paged!
Yay, Creighton, and Yay wonderful Sunday School teachers! Thank you for your patience with our tender-hearted child! See ya next week.

Basketball

Whasssuuup? A kid can't wear another teams shirt for just a minute?

THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY TIME (or circumstance) YOU'LL SEE CREIGHTON WEARING BAYLOR GEAR!
But since they are doing well in the big tournament, and to honor Poppy, and since I have picked them to do well in my brackets, I decided to put Creighton in his Baylor shirt. He did well posing for the pictures we took to show Poppy & Dee.

He even "called" Poppy to tell him what he was wearing...this isn't a real phone. Its a USB jump drive that Creighton is pretending is a phone. This happens a lot around here. Any hand-held object becomes a "phone" to Creighton.

So this one's for you, Poppy & Dee, and all you other Bear fans out there. Sic 'Em

But really, Creighton is most looking forward to Sunday at 4pm when the Aggies play and of course, Creighton will be head-to-toe in Maroon : )

Baby # 2 - 20 weeks pregnant

Half-way through! Actually, since they'll plan to deliver this baby when we get to 38 weeks if she hasn't arrived already, I'm OVER half-way through! YIPPIEE!!

Pictured above is her "lady business". Yes, she's still a girl.

And finally, her profile at 20 weeks. She looks different than Creighton did...her nose seems a little more defined. But of course, as she cooks for (hopefully) the next 18 weeks those beautiful facial features will develop into the unique little being that she is!

St Patricks Day

Well it's that time of year again when Dave gets all dressed up for the Saint Patrick's Day Parade.
This year, the theme for the float he gets invited to be on was "80's Rock Band" and boy, did Dave embrace that theme!

Thankfully, Creighton wasn't afraid of his daddy dressed like Brett Michaels.

After the Parade, The Appel's invited everyone over for a cookout

and Creighton enjoyed the beautiful weather as he ran around their backyard

and played with all the toys.Creighton even got in the bounce house! But that didn't last long cause he really didn't know what to do in there.
We got to spend time with Little Mack - he sure smiled and enjoyed his first time on a swing!

And we had fun crawling around and playing with buddy Ericksen and his mama, too.

What a change since the first Saint Patrick's Day these guys spent together!
Joey and Mack, Dave and Creighton, Eric and Ericksen all anjoyed a great fun day.

Just take another look at all these fine men.

We are so blessed to have Rachel taking care of Creighton each day. She is wonderful with him and really seems to love him; and he loves her, too!
